Merry 1st December Nanny

Just wanted to talk to you, you know me, today is the start of the festive jollies. You’ll be laughing at me already knowing that I’ve been peaking with excitement as well as pre-season listing/buying/stressing for about 4 weeks.
As I opened my eyes this morning, I said Merry 1st December Nanny and felt so sad that you’re not here to have a proper cuddle with. I can talk to you of course, but, I hope you can still feel those familiar hugs and kisses that I’ll miss every Christmas and always.
My sadness was soon replaced as Rosie run into our bedroom shouting “Merry 1st December Mummy and Daddy” (I’ve no idea where she gets her over-excited keenness from??). She then rushed downstairs to open her chocolate advent, her Lego advent and her advent activity book. She ate her first choccie, found her Day 1 Lego figure and drew a picture & some writing of what she wanted for Christmas. Perfect!
I decided to put the radio on (which I never do in the morning) to look for Xmas channels but couldn’t find one so settled for Heart. Guess what was playing?
“I don’t feel like dancin’” by one of your random favourites Scissor Sisters. I’m not going lie to you Nanny I cried my eyes out and have done so on and off all day but thankyou so much for my message! Could almost hear your foot tapping on the ceiling above me like when my bedroom was below your kitchen chair. You’re legacy again, it’s just incredible....
Tonight, we got our boxes of decs out of the loft, unpacked some bits whilst drinking mulled wine and singing and dancing to Xmas songs. We’ve got some new decs, a few bits of a Xmas village including a vintage Ale House called Hamilton’s. A little tribute that Col bought for me a few weeks ago. Mini land Christmas cuteness!
Love you, miss you and speak soon.

The photo is of Rosie’s xmas requests in her own style. A Harper doll that comes with a suitcase and a sparkle dress for her and a shoebox. Brilliant, you’ll love it x
